The artwork portrays the somber and emotional moment of Christ's body being placed in the tomb, marked by dramatic chiaroscuro and deeply human expressions of grief and reverence.

Acrylic on canvas (unframed), with 20/30 coats scumble glaze, varnish painted in and over. We would like to draw attention to the subtleties in light and depth which have been achieved in these glazing techniques.
